So, Im trying to get the website re-designed. The guys are doing a good job, but its like pulling teeth to get an affirmative answer as to when it will be done. Was going to be for 9/1 but "someone" seems to have missed that memo. So, folks- I hope to offer you a new an' exciting sazz vintage soon (but not as soon as i had hoped).
It will be super cool once its up though- a little more professional and slick and but with the Sazzy touch. Thanks to all who submitted their opinions!
This has been like my summer from hell. (note- my boyfriend rocks). Not that Im in bad shape compared to the folks down in New Orleans and Mississippi that are really getting their worlds ripped apart by the hurricane...but Im just wondering can anything go right?
My accountant messed up to the tune of over $2k, my alternator just went in my car, my basement has some major water issues, the plumbers refuse to call me back to finish my bathroom, theres the website redesign thing and oh, i could continue...but I adore you too much to bore you that much.
SAZZ VINTAGE stuff:
Ive been adding like crazy and have you seen the KILLER 70s pants I got in? Deadstock condition with crazy colours, huge flares and even bigger sizes. Pricey, but so damn cool it ain't funny.
Got some 40s post-WWII knit shirts for you to drool over (soon to be added) and am finally getting off my toochas to add the 50s suits I promised you. (added 2 and sold them both within a day. wow. thats so cool.)
And have you noticed Im slowly phasing down women's clothing? Yea...its really going to be mainly men's vintage. Theres a "Women's Items" category that has all the women's stuff now- dresses, shoes, purses etc..But Im going to concentrate on the fuzzier sex and try to offer even more in XL sizes.
Ok, enough enough. Happy summer to you all. LOTS of stuff has been moved to the SALE category and I look forward to serving your fashion needs this fall. *kisssses*- sazzy girl.

Oh lawd, has it really been 6 months since I wrote? My apologies, my apologies- I certainly have not been trying to ignore my Sazzy faithfuls...life has just been a tad busy.
SO, that said, here's the scoop on Sazz:
I am dating a wonderful, wonderful guy. Im very happy in that area. (*hearts breaking all over the world*).
The house is getting back together after a horrible roof leak and the subsequent demolition in 3 rooms. Hell. It was hell.
The website has been going strong- thanks to you all! Sales are good and that has enabled me to get some higher end goodies for you- including some beautiful 1940s gabardine westerns and H Bar C poly gab embroidered shirts. These suckers sell quickly and are so hard to find, but I do love the challenge AND i love the happy emails I get when these shirts arrive in their new homes!
And for all you Saturday Night Fever polyester-lovin' swingers, I have snagged a HUGE collection of disco shirts! You'll notice a good amount of XL and even 2XL shirts have been added and as we get closer to autumn, you can be sure there will be a minimum of 100 disco shirts up there for you to pick from. 2XL is soooooo freakin' hard to find. Maybe even harder than the 40s stuff. Im serious!
As you've probably noticed, I havent been doing as much with women's clothing and dresses. Yes, Im (*GASP*) actually getting out of women's vintage. The clothing is beautiful, but c'mon, like everyone sells women's dresses. Id rather concentrate on men's clothing- guys are way more fun to dress (and undress *giggles*) and Id rather have a killer selection of men's shirts all the time, then have to divide up my time.
And Ill be honest, women are sooooooo picky! My wonderful customers know I love 'em, but good golly, Ive gotten some ladies that are just so obnoxious that it takes away the fun. Women are harder to size, and I try my darndest best, so its like, quit with the attitude, ya know?!
The summer is slower (what, you mean youd rather be on the beach than in front of your computer? go figure!) so hopefully Ill have some time to clean up the website and really get some sweet items added for the fall.

First off: Happy Holidays to All! Whatever you celebrate, I hope its wonderful and you have a terrific New Year!
Second: This is a response to the guy who wrote me a critical email just becuse i *gasp* dared to vote for Kerry.
Take your business elsewhere, sir, Im gladly rid of you!
(whats sad is that he is probably actually reading this...)
This is a Blog. This is a space for my personal rants and babblings that I share publicly. Anytime you go into someone's personal space, you are bound to find something you dont like or disagree with. BUT there is a big difference between disagreeing with someone and sending them a patronizing email that is full of half-baked factoids.
And you did a great diservice to my customers with your words. Not everyone, in fact, most intelligent adults, do not think like you.
They are not going to storm off in a huff because I have a different opinion than they do. In fact, I think most of my customers are of the type that I could sit down with over a beer or 3 and have a healthy "my opinion v. your opinion" without anyone getting upset, pissed off or whiney.

There is no hidden agenda behind this website. There is no Sazz Vintage-Overthrow-the-Government fund lurking in the dustballs under my couch.
I think its silly that he got so freaked out. But.....ah well.
Again, a Happy Happy and Merry Merry to All!!!! (even the Republicans).

yea i know, i know, i really suck at blogging, huh?
all i can say is its really all your fault because you guys drove me crazy all thru september and october wih halloween sales! im not complaining at all!
(but its so funny- these guys were desperately emailing on, like, october 25 with "i need a white polyester john travolta suit in a size 2XL". and im like, yea- sure buddy.)
but everything is going pretty well. sazz is going strong. im doing tons of work on my house. my "job job" is nice and im single again. which is also nice.
as for sazzvintage- well, i have some really good 1940s and 1950s items to add. i didnt want to add the "good" stuff around Halloween because the last thing i want to do is sell some shmoe a killer 40s gabardine shirt for a "grease" costume! great business sense, huh?
oh, and im pissed about the election. not that Kerry was all that wonderful, but gawd, another 4 yrs . of this idiot and good-bye civil, personal and private rights. goodbye social security. goodbye any hope of free-thinking Supreme Court justices. bring on the school prayer.
can we get going on a true Democratic nominee please? hello? obama?

Im back..went on vacation and it was really nice, but after 2 weeks I was surely missing home. So Im settled back in now and have been working almost non-stop on the website. Notice any changes?
I changed around the front page (sazzvintage.com) to try to make it more user and more search engine friendly. What do you guys think? My mom thinks its a little boring..i think the photo boxes are helpful for finding stuff..
any comments are welcome because my aim is to make the Sazz Experience a better one for my customers. (and get me good placement in the search engines).
BIG SALE! Back to School SALE going on right now- check out the goods- everything from vintage dresses and womens accessories to jackets and mens shirts are on sale.
And Ive just added 70 items in the past week and am planning on at least 30 more before this week is out.
Im really stocking up on disco stuff because ya'll dig the polyester for Halloween and costume parties, and Im more than happy to oblige!

Well, you may have noticed a slow down with the website- not as many items have been added recently.yea, well...i take the Bar in 4 days so i think im justified. BUT- im planning a big ol' whoo-haa addition in late august. (im going overseas for 2 weeks for a real honest-to-goodness vacation!)
im hoping to add over 100 items, at least, to give you a real nice "back to school" send-off. and i missed my 1500th customer sale while i was fretting over finals..so ill have to think up some other sale for you guys.
heres whats to come:
DEADSTOCK (never worn) 1940s men's suits! yup- these came out of an old tailor shop here in Philadelphia and havent seen the light for 60 years. Some are even button-fly. Theres some moth damage to about 1/2 of them, but the others are damn near mint. AND- most have never been hemmed- so you tall guys can actually get an inseam that works because you'll need to have to them tailored. Thats actually a good thing! Dirty though- they've been gathering dust for that long too- but take 'em outside and whack 'em with a broom for a while. Ive got all sizes from "18 years old" to 44.
DEADSTOCK mens disco shirts. about 6 or 7 size small crazy wild disco shirt. DEADSTOCK mens 1950s and early 60s shirts- classic greaser and collegiate styles.
H Bar C embroidered western shirts- the heavy "poly gab" kind. Including a nice deadstock size XL in bright red w/ heavy embroidery.
And dresses...a bunch of nice smaller size 1950s dresses from one estate that are truly classy.

My how time flies when youre having fun!
ok, well, ive done graduated!!! i now have a very expensive degree i cant do anything with (yet)- but hey, its almost a rite of passage to have tremendous school debt. right?
but im plugging away and studyng. im trying to still add new stuff to the website about once a week and ive had to cut back shipping to 2-3x a week, but so far no one has complained.
ive got some terrific googies for back-to-school later this summer- a lot of deadstock. AND get this- about 20 DEADSTOCK 1940s and early 1950s mens SUITS! yup- men's suits. mostly wool, still with the original tags and such. theyre a bit dusty, but super cool. some ever have BUTTON FLY dating them to the early 40s!
i dont think anyone wants to think about wool right now though.....
im also gearing up for halloween already- getting polyester shirts, suits and pants together...y'know- just attempting to organize.
oh- and i have a 44" crack in an interior sewer pipe. oh yea- great timing. will plumber for food? please call!! HAPPY SUMMER everyone! -sazzy

am i really so busy ive neglected my dear sweet blog for a month? oh my!
well, spring is here and im so happy. ive got flowers blooming in my yard from bulbs planted in the fall. ive recently adopted a new kitty from my sister and she is totally cute. ive got a real nice guy to spend time with. ive got some killer stock saved up for the autumn days when you people start shopping again. (yes, it gets quiet around here when its summery outside). but ill also be adding stuff every week- so check back in the NEW ITEMS!
today is my last day of classes (whoooo!) and then i graduate may 20. THEN i start studying for the Bar and will turn into a total basketcase for a good 2 months. please send emails of support and food baskets. heehee.
i hope everyone is having a goos spring and is getting off their winter butts and speding more time romping outside. even though id LOVE for you to waste your afternoons with sazz vintage....now that i own a lawn- im all about playing on it.

Man, this Spring (this year!) has just been crazy!
Everything is going fine..but Im so freakin' busy..I keep falling asleep at 8pm when I need to be up working until 2am.
But, after this July life will (hopefully) be somewhat normal and teh website will get the attention it deserves. But until then, just send me your fondest warm wishes and ya'll can help my struggle thru! wish me luck!
Im trying to make up for lost time and Ill be adding a huge amount of western shirts over the next week or so. Ive got damn near 100 to add- but thats not going to happen. Know anyone who wants to work for vintage? I could use a good assistant.
i will not be going to Vegas due to lack of funds. Im sorry- id love to meet everyone, but it will have to wait until 2005. OR- go buy lots of stuff and then i can afford the plane ticket! hahaha
On a personal note..quite recently something happened that makes me smile. Wish me luck there too.

I know, I know...its been too long. ya'll miss me, huh? heehee
Life has just been getting in the way. but with the warmer weather coming in (crossing my fingers) i feel a slight buzz of energy!
did you check out the HUGE SALE i have going on? lots of items on sale- from 20% to 50% off my regualr dang cheap prices. its kind of an early spring clean-out sale. i have sooo much inventory- i just need to keep things moving! so check out the sale and have some fun!
other than that not much is new and exciting. OH- i MAY be going to VLV. i have a hotel room at the Orleans, i just need to figure out my fundage. so the more you buy- the more likely ill be having a drink with you come April in Vegas, baby! hahahha.

oh my its freeking COLD!
happy belated new year everyone!! i (the website) was dealing w/ technical problems all thru the new year but most have been resolved and im kinda getting back on my feet.
but this cold is killin me!,br> i am in this old house w/ no insulation and all the heat just goes right out the walls. if anyone wants to trade their handyman talents for clothes- come on over!
getting insulation is high on the list of "must do" stuff but i gotta get the $$ first. so for now- im just freezing.
have you noticed a decrease in "new items" on the site? well- usually i do all my uploading in the evenings but its so damn cold that my hands seriously freeze. as i type this im wearing gloves, and it is no easy task! imagine taking measurements.,..
im really trying though. dont give up on me..i just think my "new year" is kinda jinxed.
so, all my CA folks- please send some sun and warmth this way. i would be happy with above freezing- even 40 degrees is liveable for a die-hard NE person like moi.

Ok..so ive been slacking here. im sorry. but i had the flu and damn did that suck! im still falling asleep at 8pm because im just so drained!
so my condolences to any of you who have gotten the fly this year- its really nasty!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
my New Years resolution is to get organized! (and stay organized).
im in a new house now so i can actually plan where everything is going to go- and hopefully, keep it all in it's spot!
for the website- i have tons (TONS) of stuff to add! i had a girl come out and help with photos before the Holidays but then i got sick and couldnt work on the website- so i have all these items waiting on me..lets see..whats there...
2 very cool 1970s plaid suits in a size small
aout a dozen western shirts- some embroidered, some plaid. 1 really killer 1950s Levis (big e) bib shirt!
about 6 1950s dresses- but i have another 50! waiting for photos to be taken
and some cute random mens smaller size cardigans, 2 "sheepskin" western jackets and a nice 50s gab jacket.
i PROMISE ill get to it after the 1st...i still need to sleep until then.
again- Happy New Year. be good and dont drink so much you throw up all over your killer sazz clothes.

I cant sleep. grrr....I have a crazy final tomorrow that im not confident about. so i keep waking up.
i really like the holiday season, but not the holiday and take finals season. luckily after this, so long as i pass everything, i have only 1 more semester to go. then you can start calling sazzy esq! heehee
google changed the way they "find" websites now- it really sucks for small sites like mine. so i finally buckled down and paid the $300 to get listed in the yahoo directory. so would ya'll please go to yahoo and click on me so i become a "popular" site?! i really want to be popular! hehehe. (popular w/ the boys she giggles).
im having these "snow shipping" sales- $5 shipping until the snow is gone, but it rained so much that we only had the snow for maybe 4 hours, so ill keep the sale going a bit- "slip on the ice and crack your butt shipping sale at sazz" whoohooo!

So I totally wrenched my back a few days ago. And I mean HURT my back- i was lifting a box of dishes (yes, dishes. yes, lift with my legs) and "something" popped. aw gawd did that hurt! i couldnt even move for like 5 mins.
but ive made it thru the week w/ advil as my friend and im doing much better. hurrah for heating pads.
ive got some new goodies for you- 1950s sweater clips!! ill be adding another 6 or so tomorrow too. and small size western shirts. i didnt realize i had like, none on the website. sorry!
well i should sleep sometime (says laurie-who-is-a-guy). happy weekend!

Well, this is what time Im up almost every morning- between 5am and 5:30am and sometimes my cat will even let me sleep in until my alarm actually goes off at 6am. Huh you say?
Basically my disphit cat does not believe in letting me sleep until the sun comes up (it is pitch black outside) and wants to be fed before 6am. So he chews on things and knocks other things off the furniture until I roll my sleepy warm butt into the cold Pennsylvania air and feed him
He then wants to go back to sleep and often attempt to do this on my lap while Im at the computer deleting penis spam and scrawling down orders. (even wonder at my handwriting sometimes? its 6am handwriting).
So- about Sazz Vintage...hell, about me! heehee. Ive been asked where "Sazz" came from. A very close friend started calling me Sazzy as a spin off my last name. She went to South Africa to work in the Peace Corps and when I started this business I decided to tribute her by incorporating the nickname she had given me.
Sazzy became my online moniker and here I am. Some people call me Amanda, others Sazzy and others sweetiepiesnookums but NEVER Mandy if you want me to like you.
My older customers may have noticed a change- now when you click on a main category theres a mini menu on the left side that allows pick by era or size depending.
what do you guys think of that? helpful or no? i may do it as a drop-down if i can figure out the code. Code and i do not get along. a lot of this is totally trial and error w/ many many errors.
Enough for now...There, my first babble in my Sazz Vintage blog. Am I really that boring? hahahah.
